Two arrested in Freeburg for suspected methamphetamine

Two Freeburg residents are in jail for possession of suspected methamphetamine and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Osage County deputies were investigating a stolen vehicle at a home on Chestnut Street Freeburg last Thursday.

When they made contact with the two residents of the home, deputies said 39-year-old Janet Duke attempted to hide suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested Janet Duke and 50-year-old Daniel Duke of Freeburg.

Four children were home at the time of both arrests.

Both suspects are being held in the Osage County Jail on a $10,000 bond as of Sunday night.
