One taken to hospital after crash on Providence Road

Emergency crews responded to a car accident on Providence near the I-70 westbound on-ramp at Exit 126 Friday afternoon.

The Columbia Fire Department said it was a two-vehicle collision.

Crews had to cut one person out from one of the cars.

An ambulance transferred that person to University Hospital, and their condition is unknown.

Officials said no one else involved in the accident was injured.
