Drugs, weapons found in Jefferson City home after man shoots at car

A man was arrested after shooting at a car with people inside, and drugs were found in his home.

Jefferson City Police said he fired a gun at a car with several people inside, including a 3-year-old child.

According to a 911 call, the man was involved in a fight over the sale of a cell phone.

23-year-old Danial Lowe drove off after the shooting, but officers were able to stop him and take him into custody in the 600 block of East McCarty Street.

After Lowe was arrested, police searched his home at 617 Linn St. to find several guns, 20 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana, scales, and packaging material.

Lowe is currently in the Cole County Jail where charges are pending for 1st degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
