Jefferson City man arrested for stealing from cars

A Jefferson City man was arrested Monday after he was stopped by police.

Police received several calls from people who discovered things stolen from their cars early in the morning.

Police investigated and were able to identify and find the suspect’s car. When they stopped 21-year-old Shawnelle Yarborough, they found several stolen items inside that matched up to the earlier thefts.

Yarborough is being held in the Cole County Jail pending charges.
