Cyclist killed in Cole County

A man from Jefferson City was hit by a car while riding his bicycle Monday evening. According to the Highway Patrol, Christopher Gill was riding his bike in a ditch along Heritage Highway.

When Gill, 21, got near Wheat Lane, he went on the road and was hit by a car. Gill died at the scene.
