Crash between SUV and motorcycle ruled a hit and run

ABC 17 first reported a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV Tuesday night around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, that crash was ruled a hit and run.

The crash happened at the intersection of Fairview and Broadway in Columbia. The crash shut down parts of the intersection for a short time while law enforcement searched for the driver of the SUV.

Police said a white SUV turned in front of a motorcycle, and the driver took off.

Boone County deputies confirmed the SUV was stolen.

Though the motorcycle was severely damaged, the motorcycle driver suffered some cuts and broken foot.
