Missing Boone Co. man found safe

A missing 68-year-old man was found safe Friday afternoon.

Members of the Boone County Fire Protection District and the Missouri State Highway Patrol were looking for a missing George Hartmann Sr. who was last seen Thursday morning.

Hartmann was last seen by a family member at his home in the 2100 block of East Pinnacles Road around 7:15 Thursday morning. When they came back to check on him later that night around 5:30, they could not find him.

Hartmann is known to have medical issues and can become disoriented at times.

Emergency services and law enforcement were notified by family members of his disappearance. The Missouri State Highway Patrol helicopter assisted with the search.
