Construction on Broadway Bridge over Highway 63 to begin Monday

After a break from most construction over the holiday weekend, another big road construction project will begin again tomorrow.

MoDOT will begin work on the Broadway Bridge over Hominy Creek.

During construction, the bridge will be completely shut down. MODOT says this construction could cause delays.

To get around it, MoDOT suggests taking Route WW East to Route J North to I-70 West to Route 63 North.

MoDOT will also work on the Broadway Bridge (or Route WW bridge) over Highway 63. This construction will close one lane in each direction.

A turn lane on each side as well as one lane will remain open throughout the project.

Construction on both bridges is expected to last 45 days.

This construction is part of a series of bridge reconstruction projects in the Mid-Missouri area. MoDOT will work on a total of 10 bridges: eight in the Columbia area, one in Callaway County, and one in Howard County as part of the project.
