Shot fired during Boonville Break Time robbery

Two men opened fire inside a Boonville Break Time convenience store early Saturday morning.

Police said one gunshot was fired inside the business during an armed robbery around 3:40 a.m. Saturday.

“It was not shot toward anyone,” Det. Randall Ayers of the Boonville Police Department told ABC 17. “It was aimed more at the floor…probably just to show that they were there and they were meaning to do business.”

Police said in a news release two men entered the store at Route B and Americana wearing clothing to cover their identities. They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Ayers told ABC 17 the department will continue to search for any leads.

“We’re going to continue to try and follow leads and actively search for the suspects,” Ayers said. “We want to get people and citizens of the Boonville community to call us if they do have any information to assist us.”

Boonville police asked Saturday for helping finding the suspects seen in the attached pictures.

Anyone with information was asked to call Boonville police at (660) 882-2727.
