Fire damages Jefferson City home, displaces family
A fire damaged a home in Jefferson City Wednesday evening, forcing the family living there to find a place to stay for the night. The home is on East High Street; the cause of the fire and extent of the damage are unknown.
Red Cross volunteers helped the family of six get food and find a motel to stay in for the time being. The family also got comfort kits, which include items for personal hygiene.
