JC Shop removes vulgar T-shirts after complaints

A t-shirt kiosk at the Capital Mall got some unwanted attention after mall customers started complaining to management and writing to ABC 17 News.

The shirts had explicit gestures, including references to drugs and sex. Customers were upset because the kiosk was just feet from a children’s train.

We talked to Capital Mall management and they assured us the explicit shirts have been taken down.

Management told us this isn’t the first time the kiosk has had trouble, but the new ownership is reacting to their concerns and taking down offensive materials.

General Manager, Jamie Reed agreed some of the shirts were to much, “Some of it was, and we have removed what we felt was inappropriate.”

We will be checking in periodically to see if the kiosk goes back to it’s old way.
