Study proves antibiotic overuse could cause other health issues

A new study by the Centers for Disease Control has revealed that some hospitals are over-prescribing antibiotics.

The study covered hundreds of hospitals, and found that some prescribed antibiotics at three times the rate of others.

As a result, many of the drugs are becoming less effective in patients, making them more vulnerable to other types of infections.

The CDC recommends every hospital start an antibiotic stewardship or accountability program to monitor the use of drugs.
