Local police chief’s death still “undetermined”
The investigation is considered closed in the shooting of a Mid-Missouri police chief, according to authorities Thursday.
Randolph County Coroner Gerald Luntsford has ruled William Stuck’s death as “undetermined” and does not suspect foul play.
Stuck, 64, was discovered in his home in the early morning of November 27. He served as the Huntsville police chief for over 20 years.
Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols confirmed Stuck died from a single gunshot wound to the stomach, but officials were waiting on results from the state crime lab before making any other conclusions.
