Car hit by bullet in Columbia neighborhood

At least one bullet hit a car in a north Columbia neighborhood late Friday night.

Columbia police responded to the 1400 block of Greensboro Drive around 10:45 p.m. for calls of shots fired. The scene was just off 763/Rangeline Street and Brown School Road.

At the scene, investigators found a vehicle had been hit by a bullet in one driveway. The vehicle’s owner was not likely the intended target, according to a news release.

Neighbors told police they had heard a loud argument right before the shots were fired. No one was hurt and no other property was found damaged.

Columbia police continued to investigate the incident Saturday afternoon.
