Columbia City Council approves Douglass Park improvements

The City Council voted Monday night to implement upgrades at Douglass Park.

Council members voted unanimously to approve Phase 1 of the improvement project.

The project will construct an outdoor amphitheater and shelter, parking improvements, and new signs, a walkway and landscaping.

The project is expected to cost $100,000 and will be funded through a voter-approved 2010 park sales tax.
