Man accused of stealing car from HyVee, egg rolls from Break Time

A Washington state man is accused of stealing a car and food from two Columbia businesses.

Police say surveillance video captured Radion Khomyak, 23, of Everett, Wash., stealing a car from the HyVee on West Broadway Wednesday night. Officers say the victim left her keys in an unlocked car.

Just about 45 minutes later, officers were called to the Break Time on Vawter School Road for a report of someone stealing. Police say Khomyak went into the store, ate two egg rolls, then left without paying for the food.

Witnesses then saw Khomyak urinating on the side of the building.

Officers arrested Khomyak at the Break Time and recovered the stolen vehicle.

He was arrested for tampering and stealing with a bond set at $9,500. He remained in the Boone County Jail as of Thursday night.
