Man dies in single-car crash in Russellville
A Mid-Missouri man is dead following a single-car crash in Cole County Sunday morning.
Joshua Ortbals, 37, of Russellville, was traveling eastbound on Jefferson Road when his car traveled off the left side of the road, struck a tree and overturned.
The Highway Patrol said the car came to a rest on its wheels. Troopers say they received a report of the crash around 5 a.m., but are not sure exactly when the accident happened.
Ortbals was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt.
