Columbia mother arrested for encouraging daughter to fight

A Columbia mother was arrested Thursday night for allegedly encouraging her daughter to fight another girl.

Police were called to the 1400 block of Greensboro Drive for a report of a disturbance.

Officers say Myeisha Coats, 28, encouraged her 12-year-old daughter to physically fight another girl under the age of 12.

Coats was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child. She bonded out of the Boone County Jail.
