Osage County officials consider changes after phone outage

AT&T officials told ABC 17 News Thursday that wireless and land line services in Osage and Maries Counties were back to normal.

Wednesday construction crews who were working on the new Highway 50 cut a fiber-optic cable leaving much of Osage County without phone services.

Osage County Emergency Management officials said the small crisis has them reevaluating their emergency strategies.

If the phone service ever goes out again they could devise a plan that would place first responders at area fire, ambulance, and police departments.
