AT&T to work on Maries County cell service

AT&T is planning to work on their cell service after numerous complaints from Mid-Missouri residents.

Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, who represents Missouri’s 3rd congressional district, met with the president of AT&T Missouri on Tuesday.

Several Maries County residents told ABC 17 News they are having problems connecting to the network despite the cellular phone company saying there were no issues with coverage. They say a lack of wireless service is becoming a public safety hazard.

Officials say the meeting between AT&T and Luetkemeyer was productive and the company will try to figure out the cause of the problem and will monitor the network in the area.

AT&T is also asking any customer with questions about their service to call 1-800-331-0500.
