Police: Meth dealers on the run after bust in Boone County
A trailer in Rustic Meadows Trailer Park was found with meth and meth paraphernalia in it Thursday morning.
Officials said Boone County sheriff’s deputies and the SWAT team found meth, scales, and packaging materials, leading them to believe occupants of this house distributes the drug.
One suspect was home at the time of the bust. There are “multiple” others involved, according to police.
No one has been arrested yet.
Neighbors living down the street from the bust say they aren’t surprised drugs were sold at the house.
Christine Nowlan, who lives just two doors down, said the problems on the street started about a year ago when residents in trailer 64 moved in.
“They have a lot of vehicles in and out of their driveway all night and that’s one thing right there. You already know what’s up,” she said.
She said the drug activity on the street is causing her to move out. And she said moving anywhere would be better than there “as long as it’s not another druggie neighborhood.”
Detective Tom O’Sullivan with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department said when arrested, the suspects could face charges for possession of a controlled substance, and distribution of a controlled substance.
