Parole absconder caught after Columbia crash

Columbia Police have arrested the driver of a pick up truck that flipped Friday morning.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. in the 5500 block of Paris Road in front of the Fed-Ex Shipping facility.

Firefighters say they found the truck upside down in a ditch. One man was trapped inside and had to be cut from the vehicle.

Two people were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver, James Threet, is under arrest for an outstanding parole absconder warrant and for driving while revoked.

The crash is still under investigation.
