Boone County teenager arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting child
A 17-year-old Boone County man is behind bars after allegedly sexually assaulting a child under the age of 14.
Detectives with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department arrested Cody A. Riley Tuesday afternoon on two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy.
Law enforcement say the victim told a family member about the assault on Sunday, Aug. 25. The relative took the victim to Boone Hospital, where deputies then began their investigation.
Detectives say the victim and Riley do know each other, but do not live together.
The Missouri Division of Children’s Services assisted with the investigation.
Riley is being held in the Boone County Jail with a bond amount to be set.
