Man arrested for threatening to shoot officers

A man is behind bars in the Boone County Jail after allegedly threatening to shoot police officers.

Columbia police were called to 21 Conley Road around 3:45 p.m. Sunday for a trespassing call.

The Columbia Police Department says 53-year-old Mark Greathouse threatened to shoot the officers between the eyes and began to reach for his right side. The officers arrested him for first-degree trespassing and assault on a law enforcement officer.

Police did not say if Greathouse had a weapon in his possession.
