Well-known restaurant planning comeback

A well-known restaurant could be heading back to Jefferson City.

Viet’s was approved for a new location this week by the planning and zoning commission.

The original business closed down in 2005. It used to be a familiar spot for many state lawmakers. Elvis ate also there once in the 1950s. Now the same owners are trying to build a second home in the 2500 block of Tanner Bridge Place.

The rezoning request will be sent to the full city council.
