Two arrested in Centralia for theft, selling stolen goods

Centralia police have arrested two men in connection with a plan to steal items and sell them.

According to authorities, Adam Scott, 23 from Centralia, broke into one home and stole a Sony Playstation, and stole a snow blower from a shed to sell it for cash. Police say Scott also dismantles an air conditioner at the Centralia Fire Department to sell the condenser and coil.

Scott then allegedly gave the snow blower to Justin Holley, 24 from Columbia, who sold it to a pawn shop.

Police have recovered the stolen items and say they will be returned to their owners. The cost of replacing the damaged air conditioning unit is estimated to be about $2,300.

Scott was arrested for burglary, stealing, property damage and trespassing. Holley was arrested for receiving stolen property.
