Accused Boonville murderer denied lower bond

The suspect arrested for allegedly beating another man to death in Boonville is not getting a lower bond.

A judge denied the request on Monday for Calvin Dibble. He fled Missouri after Verdayne Schacher was attacked on the job at Tiger Pawn in November 2011. Schacher died two days later.

Dibble was arrested a few days later in Kansas, but it took 18 months for authorities to return him to Mid-Missouri. Dibble was on parole at the time.

The shop reopened afterwards, but a karate school next door later bought the space.

On Monday judge also approved a change of venue, moving the case from Cooper to Pettis County.
