Highway Patrol releases Memorial Day enforcement results
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F released results of its Memorial Day weekend enforcement campaign.
From Friday through Monday, troopers were stationed every 20 miles on I-70 through Boone, Cooper and Montgomery counties.
Troopers stopped over 200 vehicles during the patrols and issued dozens of tickets including two for driving while under the influence, 73 for speed and 23 for seat belt violations.
Troopers also made five felony warrant arrests and six misdemeanor arrested. Nearly 200 warnings were issued as well.
MSHP Troop F reported no fatalities in the 13 counties its troopers cover in Mid-Missouri, although five deaths were reported statewide.
