Sean Price sentenced to 25 years for sex crimes
A Williamsburg man who spent a month running from authorities could spend 25 years behind bars for sex crimes.
Sean Price was sentenced to 25 years for each of two counts of statutory sodomy, running concurrently.
Price was convicted in January of this year of a sexual encounter with a 7-year-old in March 2008. The victim, now 12 years old, testified against him during the trial.
In court Monday, the victim’s mother told Judge Christine Carpenter she hoped for the strongest punishment.
“I want him to spend the rest of his life in prison to think of what he did to my child,” she said. “She has to live with that for the rest of her life.”
Price missed his original sentencing hearing in March, before turning himself in to his bondsmen on April 8.
