Gun show drawing crowds this weekend

Hundreds of people lined up Friday for the start of the three-day gun show at the Boone County Fairgrounds.

R.K. Shows, Inc. is bringing the Gun & Knife Shows to Mid-Missouri, with 300 tables of vendors, according to the organizer.

Some gun enthusiasts Friday said the new firearms bill being discussed on the Senate floor will only drive demand up.

ABC 17 News went to the show on Friday as vendors were setting up. Some tables were left empty even as the show started.

According to some vendors, they said supplies are hard to come by and some items are back ordered. Perhaps, explaining why some vendors couldn’t make it out to the show on-time.

The doors opened Friday at 5 p.m., Saturday will run from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Boone County Fairgrounds is located at5212 North Oakland Gravel Road.
