Walk Off Win

COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 5 Mizzou claimed its second Top 10 victory of the season and first-ever Southeastern Conference win with a two-run home run from sophomore 1B Kelsea Roth (Yorba Linda, Calif.) in the bottom of the seventh inning. The moon shot pushed the Tigers past No. 7 Texas A&M, 2-0, at University Field on Friday. The fifth home run of the season for Roth closed a strong one-hitter pitching performance from senior Chelsea Thomas (Pleastantville, Iowa). The two-time All-American threw the complete game (7.0) and struck out 11 Aggie batters for the win (4-0).The Tigers improved to 10-1 (1-0 SEC) with the win, while Texas A&M dropped to 22-2 with the loss. Head coach Ehren Earleywine improved his Mizzou win total to 298 with the result.
