Man Arrested After Standoff

Pulaski County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after he allegedly threatened to shoot employees at a truck stop.According to authorities, a 55-year-old man from Glencoe, Mo. entered the Oasis Truck Plaza around 3:30 a.m. Employees say he tried to sell firearm ammunition and when they denied him, the man became violent and threatened to shoot them.After the man left the building to reportedly get a weapon, employees secured themselves while calling police. Deputies found the man in his vehicle and found several firearms with him.Deputies say they had a brief standoff with the suspect before taking him into custody. He is currently at the Pulaski County Jail awaiting charges. Authorities will release his name when he is formally charged.
