36 Arrested in Drug Roundup

The Jefferson City Police Department announced it has arrested nearly three dozen suspects as part of its winter drug roundup.Jefferson City police, along with the MUSTANG Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Agency, have arrested 34 people for various distribution of controlled substances, drug possession, and firearms possession charges. They have also seized heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, firearms and drug money. Officers placed a special emphasis on heroin dealers due to an increase in heroin-related overdoses during the fall of 2012.Police say five of the 34 suspects are “high level” heroin distributors and they are reportedly linked to several overdoses in Mid-Missouri. They have all been charged with numerous counts of heroin distribution and they all remain in the Cole County Jail.- James Jackson, 32, of St. Louis ($100,000 bond)- Tracy Davis, 44, of Jefferson City ($500,000 bond)- Frank Collins, 42, of Jefferson City ($250,000 bond)- Alicia Scott, 42, of Jefferson City ($100,000 bond)- Ben Scott, Jr., 39, of St. Louis ($50,000 bond)Police say Scott is also a wanted federal fugitive for trafficking heroin in the St. Louis area.
