Missing woman and her daughter found safe

A Chariton County woman is now in custody, after police had been searching for her and her daughter, thinking they were in trouble.

Rachel Koechner, 28, and Zoee Sandner were found safe by authorities Monday night. They were found in Linn County.

The Chariton County Sheriff confirms Koechner’s ex-boyfriend, Devan Sandner, was also with them. He was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Zoee is now in the custody of her grandmother, after she was handed over by child protective services.
