Man Pleads Guilty to Rape Charge

A Columbia man has been sentenced on charges of rape and possession of child pornography.22-year-old Robert Prince pleaded guilty in court Monday to second degree statutory rape and attempted tampering with a victim. He also pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and attempted victim tampering in a second case.The judge sentenced Prince to five years in prison for those four counts.Over the summer, Prince was also convicted of child molestation and endangering the welfare of a child earlier and was sentenced to 20 years for those crimes. The five-year sentence will be served concurrently to that sentencePrince will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
