Inmates Escape from Dixon Jail

***UPDATE 11:25 A.M.***Deputies took Brandon Monell into custody at a home near Crocker around 9:47 a.m.An investigation into the escape and the original robbery is now underway.***ORIGINAL STORY***Right now law enforcement officials in Pulaski County are looking for one of two inmates who escaped from the Dixon city jail Monday morning. Dixon police notified the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department at around 2:30 a.m. that two men has escaped the jail while a third inmate distracted the on-duty dispatcher.About 30 minutes later, deputies responded to a robbery on Burlington Road near Crocker, and learned the suspects were the escaped inmates. One of the inmates was found hiding in an abandoned home a short time later and arrested. The second suspect, Brandon Monell from Crocker, is still at large.
