Helen Anthony to Step Down

Columbia councilwoman Helen Anthony announced she is resigning from City Council.Anthony was elected to the council back in April of 2011. Her resignation is effective November 30. Since her term wasn’t set to expire until April 2014, there will have to be a special election. No date has been set yet.Anthony says it was a hard decision, but her husband recently took a job out east.
