Columbia Crews Treating Roads

***UPDATE 3:39 P.M.***Officials said all first and second priority roads were treated Monday afternoon.Seven people are staying on duty overnight. Crews will evaluate the roads later Monday before deciding on resources for Tuesday.***ORIGINAL STORY***A full road crew started treating higher priority streets in Columbia at 7 a.m. Monday.Bridges and overpasses are the first to freeze and get the most attention.Plows started on residential neighborhoods in the afternoon, working through normal business hours. As of noon, secondary streets were still partially covered.Officials are planning on light drizzle into the early evening, followed by freezing overnight temperatures.
