CPS officials say police notified them of the abuse Monday night, but police have been investigating the case for about two weeks.Investigators are tight-lipped about the situation because they are dealing with minors. Since the alleged incident was reported directly to police, school officials have very little information to share.”We take it very serious,” said Columbia Public Schools spokesperson Michelle Baumstark. “Cooperating with police and see how things go as far as that investigation is concerned.”CPS administrators say they have not disciplined any students yet and are awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
