9/30: Great End to the Weekend

After a cool morning, temperatures will warm into the mid 70s Sunday with increasing high clouds and light northerly winds. Clouds will increase late Sunday as a storm system to our south lifts northeast. At this time it looks like the best chance of rain from this system is in southeastern Missouri Monday but if it lifts farther north, some light showers will be possible in Mid-Missouri. We’ll keep watching the path of the low pressure area and will have updates. A strong cold front will move in later in the week bringing the coolest air so far this season to the region by Friday and Saturday. High temperatures will drop to the near 60 by Friday and Saturday with lows in the upper 30s. We’ll be watching the track of the cold air and will have updates through the week.
