Arrest Made In Attempted Robbery

Columbia police made an arrest in attempted robbery case.Officers were called out around 9:24 p.m. Monday night to the Break Time on Nebraska Avenue for a report of an attempted robbery.Investigators say Larry Brown, Jr. allegedly entered the store holding a tire iron and demanding money. The clerk refused and Brown left. He left in his own car and police were able to track him down a short time later on the lot of Award Pet Supply. Brown was wearing the same clothing that he was in at the time of the robbery attempt and Brown allegedly admitted to the crime. He was arrested for robbery in the first degree and armed criminal action.
