1/25: Freezing Rain Sunday AM

As a warm front lifts to the north over the weekend, it will usher in moisture to Mid-Missouri overnight Saturday into Sunday. Temperatures will drop below freezing, mainly east of HWY 63 and north of I-70, and freezing rain will be possible. Temperatures south of I-70 will stay above freezing, so precipitation will be mainly in the form of rain all morning. In areas where freezing rain falls, a glazing to up to .10″ of ice is possible by Sunday mid-morning, especially on elevated surfaces. Otherwise, Mid-Missouri could pick up to a quarter of an inch of rain by Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will continue to rise during the morning and early afternoon with highs reaching the mid-to-upper 40s (north) to low 50s (south).
