RECALL ROUNDUP: Regulators recall furniture restraint kits, turkey kielbasa and Ford Focuses

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

This week's roundup includes furniture kits, sausages and another Ford vehicle.

Alliance4Safety Furniture Restraint Kits

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and 31 furniture companies have recalled millions of New Age Industries Furniture Tip-Over Restraint Kits.

Federal regulators say the plastic zip tie used in the kit can become brittle or break, which can cause the furniture it's used with to tip over and trap children.

Consumers are urged to check if their clothing storage unit has a manufacturing date of November 2019 or later.

If so, and if the kit is made of plastic, safety experts say you should contact Alliance4Safety for a free replacement kit.

Children should be kept away from the unit while waiting for a replacement kit.

Parkview turkey kielbasa

The United States Department of Agriculture has recalled some ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa made by Salm Partners.

The company issued the recall after getting reports of bone fragments being found in the sausages

The Parkview turkey kielbasa came in plastic vacuum-sealed packaging and was sold at retailers nationwide.

According to Salm Partners, the affected product has use-by dates of April 24 and April 27, 2024.

The USDA says there has been one oral injury reported.

If you own the turkey kielbasa, the USDA says you should not eat it and throw it away, or return it to where you purchased it from.

Ford Focus recall

Ford Focus has recalled nearly 140,000 Ford Focuses due to faulty oil pump drive belts.

Federal safety experts say the issue can cause a loss of oil pressure, increasing the chances of an engine stalling or loss of power braking.

The affected vehicles are models from 2016 through 2018 along with Eco-Sports from 2018 through 2022.

Ford says if you own one of these affected vehicles you'll be contacted and the problem will be fixed at no cost.
