Police said 50-year-old Anthony Paine forced himself into Kaldi’s Coffee off 9th Street 2 years ago before he robbed an employee with a gun. The worker opened the back door earlier in the morning for someone else.

Three people were arrested over the past week for allegedly stealing farm equipment in rural Callaway County near Hatton. The equipment was later found in western Audrain County with the help of the Audrain Co. Sheriff’s Office. 30-year-old Darrell Newell of Mexico, 25-year-old Jonathan Newell of Auxvasse, and 26-year-old Damin Davis were arrested for stealing.
