A Miller County man has been charged with failing to comply with a sex offender registration. Miller County deputies said they completed an investigation on Robert Mckie who is a registered sex offender and is required by law to register with the appropriate law enforcement agency. A Chicago man has been charged with fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance out of Miller County. Deputies said in November they received a complaint of fraud from Sinks Pharmacy in Iberia. A trial date has been set for a former Columbia police officer seeking to be reinstated. Rob Sanders was fired after being accused of shoving inmate Kenneth Baker in a holding cell back in 2011. He was charged with assault before being acquitted in 2013 and is suing the city of Columbia for wrongful termination.

A Columbia man has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon after being accused of pulling out a knife at a Best Buy store.
