Our first winter storm of the season moved through Mid-Missouri Sunday night & Monday producing a big range of snowfall amounts. There were several reports from around Columbia ranging from 5 to almost 7 inches. Several universities and colleges in Mid-Missouri have canceled Monday classes because of the weather. They include the University of Missouri-Columbia, Stephens College, Columbia College, Lincoln University and Westminster College. Sunday- Monday Snow Update

A storm system will spread snow over Mid-Missouri from late afternoon Sunday through the evening. Snow will become steady during the evening and continue overnight, tapering off to near I-70 by daybreak and south through Monday morning. Snowfall Sunday

Sunday will start off with cloudy skies and bitterly cold temperatures. Temperatures in the morning will be in the single digits with wind chill values near 10 below zero. By the late morning hours Snow will move into Mid-Missouri. Snow will spread over the rest of Mid-Missouri through the afternoon and continue through the evening.
