An elderly couple is dead after an apparent murder-suicide Monday in northeast Columbia. Columbia police found Wayne and Mary Trentman dead from gunshot wounds in a home at 5704 Kelsey Drive after officers were called there at about 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to a news release.
