Power restored to parts of south Columbia

Motorcycle crash kills Columbia man

Columbia police are investigating an early Sunday morning motorcycle crash that killed a local man. Police say Brandon E. Bainter, 29, of Columbia was driving westbound on Broadway near Westwood Avenue around 1 a.m. Sunday. According to CPD, Bainter lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to leave the roadway and hit a utility pole.
