Flood Warning issued July 10 at 8:05AM CDT until July 10 at 5:15PM CDT by NWS Springfield MO

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of east central and south central Missouri,
including the following counties, in east central Missouri,
Phelps. In south central Missouri, Dent.

* WHEN…Until 515 PM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 805 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain
have fallen.
– This includes the following low water crossings…
Crooked Creek at Highway TT and Norman Creek at County Road
4220.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Bangert, Sligo, Howes Mill and Boss.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
