Flood Warning issued April 28 at 9:53AM CDT until April 28 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

* WHAT…Flooding caused by earlier heavy rainfall continues to
result in road closures across the area.

* WHERE…Portions of central, north central, and west central
Missouri, including the following counties, in central Missouri,
Saline. In north central Missouri, Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton,
Linn, Livingston, Macon and Randolph. In west central Missouri,
Lafayette and Ray.

* WHEN…Until 1000 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 949 AM CDT, the transportation department reported
continued road closures across the region due to earlier
heavy rainfall.
– This flood warning will replace the previous warning that
expires at 10 am.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Marshall, Macon, Higginsville, Lexington, Brookfield,
Carrollton, Concordia, Marceline, Slater, Salisbury,
Huntsville, Sweet Springs, Braymer, Brunswick, Waverly,
Bevier, Norborne, Hardin, Keytesville and Bucklin.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
